What does a consult entail?
The initial consult aims to understands you, the reason you are visiting, your medical history, current lifestyle, health status, dietary assessment, emotional wellbeing and more. Within the initial consult we will discuss your treatment plan and goals. As we are trained in Kinesiology, Mind Body Medicine and Clinical Nutrition we may intertwine all three modalities into one session subject to what is needed. The initial Clinical Nutrition consult is approximately 60 mins. with the follow up being approx. 45 mins. The follow up is an opportunity to review your treatment plan and goals and modify as you progress.
How many visits will I need?
The are number of factors to consider when determining the number of visits these include your current health status, the complexity of your case, your readiness for change and accessibility to what is required. The results can be short term or long term. This will be discussed with you during your first consult.
Are supplements included in the consult?
Not all consults will require supplements, this will be determined during the consult and discussed with you. However, there will be consults where supplements will be prescribed to support you and these will be an additional charge to your consult.
What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?
Cancellations made 48 hours prior to your scheduled consult will not be charged a cancellation fee. However, cancellations made within 24 hours will incur a fee of 100% of the consult fee. In addition, no shows will also incur a fee of 100% of the consult fee.
What is the difference between a Dietitian and a Clinical Nutritionist?
Dietitians and Clinical Nutritionists are similar in nature, both working with the nutritional needs of the individual and to support healthy dietary choices and use evidence based to form the basis of their treatment. The difference between a dietitian and clinical nutritionist is in the approach, regulations and scope.
